Frequently asked questions
Do you offer Chinese massage (Tui Na)?
Our Chinese-medicine-based care is acupuncture, cupping and gua sha. Tui Na is a separate hands-on technique, so please call or text 647-622-4114 to ask what is currently available.
What is the difference between acupuncture and cupping?
Acupuncture uses very thin needles at specific points. Cupping uses suction cups on the skin, usually over muscles. Both come from Traditional Chinese Medicine, and some clients combine them.
Does cupping leave marks?
It can. Round marks are common and usually fade within days. Tell your practitioner about skin conditions or blood thinners beforehand.
Is Chinese medicine covered by insurance?
Coverage depends on your plan. Registered Massage Therapy is the service most commonly covered. Check your benefits or call us for guidance.
