Editorial Standards
The articles on this site are educational. This page explains the rules we hold them to, so you know what to expect and how to tell us if something is wrong.
What our articles are for
They help you understand common aches, therapies and what to expect at a visit to a clinic offering Registered Massage Therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care and Ayurveda. They are general information, not a diagnosis, and they do not replace advice from your doctor or another regulated health professional.
Our standards
- No cure claims. We do not promise cures or guaranteed results. We use cautious language such as "may help" where evidence is mixed or limited.
- Safety first. Articles name red-flag symptoms and when to see a doctor before trying hands-on care.
- Honest about evidence. Where research is limited or mixed, we say so. Traditional practices such as Ayurveda are described as traditional approaches, and we note that Ayurveda is not a regulated health profession in Ontario.
- Medication. We never advise stopping prescribed medication. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first.
- Clear about what we offer. We describe only services the clinic provides, and we say "coming soon" for physiotherapy.
- Plain language, no pressure. We do not use fear to sell treatment.
How articles are produced and kept up to date
Articles are drafted by our content team and prepared with the help of AI writing tools, then checked against these standards. Articles are not a substitute for a clinical assessment. We revise articles when guidance changes or when we find an error, and the date on each article shows when it was last updated.
Regulation in Ontario
Registered Massage Therapists are regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, and chiropractors by the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. You can check a practitioner on the public register of the relevant college. See how to check that your practitioner is registered and meet our team.
