Ayurvedic Consultation in Scarborough
- One-to-one consultation
- Personalized plan
- Wed–Sun, 10 AM–8 PM
An Ayurvedic consultation at Aara Holistic Wellness Clinic in Scarborough is a one-to-one conversation with our Ayurvedic practitioner about your health history, digestion, sleep, stress and goals, followed by a personalized plan that may include therapies, diet and routine guidance.
What happens at an Ayurvedic consultation
- Your story. We ask about your health history, current symptoms, medications, digestion, sleep, energy and stress, and what you hope to achieve.
- Assessment. We look at your constitution (dosha: Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and how your current balance may be affecting how you feel.
- Your plan. We explain what we found and propose a realistic plan. It may include warm-oil therapies, diet and routine guidance, or a course of Panchakarma. Nothing is started until you understand it and agree.
- Review. We agree when to check progress and change the plan if it is not helping.
Our approach
- Personalized, not a package. The plan is built around your history, your assessment and your goals, not a fixed menu.
- Honest about limits. Ayurveda is a traditional system. Research on it is limited and results vary, so we do not promise cures. See Ayurveda in Ontario: safety and questions to ask.
- Alongside medical care. We work as a complement to your doctor, not a replacement. Tell us about every condition and medication.
- Safety first. Some therapies are not suitable for everyone, so we assess before we recommend. See is Panchakarma safe and who should wait.
Therapies your plan may include
- Abhyanga (Kerala-style warm herbal-oil massage)
- Shirodhara, a steady stream of warm oil over the forehead
- Kati Basti and Janu Basti, warm oil on the lower back or knees
- Swedanam herbal steam and herbal poultice
- Panchakarma, a guided programme of preparation, cleansing measures and recovery

Frequently asked questions
What is an Ayurvedic consultation?
A one-to-one conversation about your health history, digestion, sleep, stress and goals, with an assessment of your constitution (dosha), followed by a personalized plan.
What is my dosha and how is it assessed?
Dosha describes your constitution in Ayurveda: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. We assess it by asking about your health, habits and symptoms and by observation. It guides the plan and is not a medical diagnosis.
Do I need a consultation before Panchakarma or other treatments?
Panchakarma always starts with a consultation. For single treatments such as Abhyanga, we will talk with you first so the treatment is suitable.
How much does an Ayurvedic consultation cost in Scarborough?
Call or text 647-622-4114 for our current fees and session length.
Is an Ayurvedic consultation covered by insurance?
Generally no. Ayurveda is a traditional wellness service and is not typically insurance-eligible in Ontario.
Can I combine Ayurveda with my doctor's treatment?
Often yes, but tell your doctor and your practitioner about everything you take. Ayurveda should complement medical care, not replace it.
